Advertising Policy

Current status

No advertising is running on HireOrbitex at the time of writing. No advertising scripts are loaded and no ad slots are rendered. This policy describes the rules that will apply when advertising is introduced, so they are on the record beforehand rather than written to fit whatever we end up doing.

Why we intend to run advertising

HireOrbitex is free for job seekers and we intend to keep it that way. Advertising is how we plan to cover hosting and the time spent finding, checking and writing up opportunities. The alternative — charging job seekers, or charging employers for placement — would compromise exactly the independence that makes the site worth using.

Independence: the rule that matters most

Advertising will never influence:

• which opportunities we list or decline to list;
• where a listing appears, or whether it is marked as featured;
• what we write in a summary, or how favourably we describe a role;
• which employers appear in the company directory;
• the subject or conclusions of any career resource or blog article.

“Featured” on this site always means editorially selected. It is never available for purchase. We do not accept payment from employers for listing placement, and we do not run sponsored listings dressed up as editorial ones.

How advertising will be presented

• Clearly labelled. Every ad unit carries a visible “Advertisement” label.
• Visually distinct. Ads will never be styled to resemble a job card, a navigation control, a button, or any part of the site interface.
• Positioned after real content. Ads appear between completed sections — never before a page’s main content, never between listing cards in a results grid, and never inside a job’s facts or requirements.
• Never beside the Apply button. No ad unit is placed adjacent to “Apply on Employer Website”, where a mis-tap would cost someone an application.
• Content always dominates. Advertising will never be the most prominent element on a page, and we will not add ads to pages that lack substantial content of their own.
• Not on empty pages. Search results with no matches, empty categories and error pages carry no advertising.

What we will never do

• Ask, encourage, incentivise or hint that you should click an advertisement. There are no “support us by clicking ads” requests anywhere on this site, and there never will be.
• Click our own ads, or arrange for anyone else to.
• Place ads where an accidental click is likely.
• Use pop-ups, pop-unders, auto-playing audio or interstitials that block content.
• Disguise an advertisement as a job listing, a search result, or site navigation.
• Create pages whose purpose is to carry advertising rather than to inform.
• Accept advertising for services that prey on job seekers — pay-to-apply schemes, guaranteed-job offers, or fee-charging “placement” services.

Advertising network

We expect to work with Google AdSense. Advertisers are selected by the network, not by us, and their presence is not an endorsement. Ads are subject to Google’s own policies in addition to ours.

When advertising goes live, third-party cookies and similar technologies may be used to serve and measure it. Our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy will be updated first, and consent will be requested where the law requires it. You can review and adjust Google’s ad personalisation at My Ad Center.

Affiliate links and sponsored content

We do not currently use affiliate links or publish sponsored content. If that ever changes, any such link or article will be disclosed prominently at the point it appears — not only in a policy page — and sponsored material will never be presented as independent editorial.

Reporting an advertising problem

If you see an advertisement on this site that is misleading, offensive, or that looks like it is impersonating a job listing or site control, please tell us at support@hireorbitex.online with the page URL and, if you can, a screenshot. We will investigate and, where necessary, block that advertiser or remove the placement.
