Privacy Policy

The short version

• You can browse every job listing and article without giving us anything.
• There is no account system for job seekers. We do not build user profiles.
• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, ever.
• You only give us personal data if you choose to: subscribing to the newsletter, sending a contact message, or reporting a listing.

Who we are

What we collect

1. Information you give us

• Newsletter: your email address, and the fact that you consented and when.
• Contact form: your name, email address, chosen reason for contacting us, and your message.
• Listing reports: the listing you are reporting, the reason, any details you add, and your email address if you choose to provide one (it is optional).

Please do not send us CVs, identity documents, bank details or other sensitive personal information — we have no use for them and no process that needs them. If you send them anyway, we will delete them.

2. Usage information we record ourselves

To understand which listings and articles are actually useful, we record a small set of events on our own server: that a listing page was opened, that an “Apply” button was clicked, that a search was run, and which page it happened on.

These events are deliberately minimal. We do not store:

• your IP address,
• any cookie, device identifier, or fingerprint,
• anything that links one event to another, or to you.

They tell us “this listing was opened 40 times”, not “this person opened these listings”.

3. Server logs

Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security, abuse prevention and debugging. These are retained for a short period and are not used to build profiles or for marketing.

4. Third-party analytics — only if enabled

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall traffic patterns. When it is enabled, we configure it to anonymise IP addresses and to disable Google Signals and ad-personalisation signals. You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser add-on.

5. Advertising — not currently active

We intend to display advertising through Google AdSense in future. It is not running at the time of writing, and no advertising scripts are loaded on this site today. When it is activated, this policy and our cookie policy will be updated first, and consent will be requested where required by law. Google’s own handling of advertising data is described in its partner sites policy.

Why we use this information

• To send the newsletter you asked for, and only that.
• To reply to your message or investigate the listing you reported.
• To decide which kinds of opportunities and guides to publish more of.
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam and fraudulent listings.
• To keep the site working and secure.

What we never do

• Sell, rent or trade your personal information.
• Pass your email address to employers or recruiters.
• Send you marketing you did not ask for.
• Build advertising profiles about you from your activity on this site.
• Track you across other websites.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the site:

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores the data that powers the site.
• Google Analytics, if and while it is enabled, as described above.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the safety or rights of users of this site.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete the record.
• Contact messages and listing reports: normally up to 24 months, so we have a record of corrections made and problems investigated.
• Usage events: aggregated operational data with no personal identifiers, retained while it remains useful.
• Server logs: a short rolling window, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Whatever your location, we will honour these requests:

• Unsubscribe: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us.
• Access: ask us what we hold about your email address and we will tell you.
• Deletion: ask and we will delete your subscription, messages and reports.
• Correction: tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.

Email support@hireorbitex.online from the address concerned, and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our infrastructure and service providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where that happens, the data is limited to what is described above.

Security

We use HTTPS across the whole site, hash administrator passwords, restrict administrative access, validate and sanitise everything submitted through a form, and rate-limit our public endpoints. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but we do not hold the kind of data that would make a breach catastrophic for you, and that is a deliberate design decision.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes — particularly enabling advertising — will be reflected here before they take effect.
